I can't comment on that because I don't know enough about it. But if our UK DVD recorders play them, I would have assumed that it was lawful and the DVD was produced with the copyright issue sorted out. However, I have to say that I haven't looked into this so don't go by what I'm saying on that issue.
The copyright laws are really what you need to watch, because if you are breaching copyright, you can be sued. The fact that you've paid money for it is neither here nor there. People think that just because they've paid Netflix via Unblock Us, everything is hunky dory. But it's not!
