Seeing as we are currently seeing a lot of problems coming to the surface maybe we should try to resolve these issues before we get carried away on a fit of enthusiasm and before all the lovers of all things VM go off on one read the various forums. A lot of folks are not best pleased that their experience does not live up to that promised.

I seem to be quite lucky in that my gripes are quite small and will hopefully be addressed in time but there seems to be quite a significant number of quite unhappy folk out there. I wonder if this has anything to do with VM not bringing this box to mass market yet?

While I'm on a rant, and without being gender specific, it seems that the non techie person in the households are struggling to come to terms with the complexity of the TiVo. How many posts have we seen comments that the significant other just wants the V+ back?
