The vast majority of Virgin Media subscribers don't take Sky premium HD, they don't need to take Sky premium HD to get a low cost V+ HD box. With Sky the so-called 'free' HD box you refer to requires a monthly HD subscription on top of your basic TV package.

TiVo is a premium service, there is no comparable offering available in the UK and even with an additional monthly sub it would still be competitively priced with a certain inferior rival pay tv service which charges up to £250 for a 1TB box, extra for HD and ESPN, requires additional services for its AnyTime+ progressive download offering and then caps usage to a few hours per month for those with the basic broadband bundle.
Did a lot of research last night and I'm willing to eat humble pie TIVO does look a great service and I can see why they have a monthly charge that said I do still think Virgin have to be sensible on this say a five or so to XL and VIP. Will the VM TIVO include TIVO Desktop and iPad and mobile apps ?
