VCR Scart on samsung V+

Hi

I am thinking of moving from sky to virgin to bring the tv in line with my broadband and phone. With sky i use the RF out for the tv upstairs with a magic eye.

I know about the RF not being on the samsung and also the TV scart being disabled when in hdmi mode, so i have a couple of questions about the vcr scart as i seem to be finding contradictory information on other sites.

The FAQ states that the menus are displayed on another tv if using the VCR scart on samsung only. Is this the case, or are they turned off due to recording devices etc?

If i use the VCR scart using the RF modulator from maplins; will the tv(freeview) signal be sent through this or would it just be the virgin tv signal. the Sky RF sends the sky tv and the freeview signal.

Thanks

Steve
