I've replaced a few fans on rack equipment with silent fans (they tend to be the same width but deeper with a slower running speed so that they move the same amount of air) costs about Â£10 for each new fan...not really worth it for something in a comms room but these were for a guy who worked from home and the rack in the upstairs office used to drive him crazy at night..
