There's still one problem.. the reason why i needed to have access to the DVD drive on the xp home computer was to burn a DVD movie on it from the xp pro computer. however the application i'm using for the purpose (Roxio's DVD builder) does not seem to support writing across to a DVD drive on the network.. so in the end, the problem is still there.  any ideas? |
Yes, copy the movie to the XP home machine and burn it there. CD/DVD burning software does not support devices that are not local because there is no way to get their capabilities across the network.
