I object how Halal meat is procured and how they the animals are killed. I don't find this a humain way to kill livestock for food, but hey I'm not recognised by my own country so why should I give a **** about anyone or anything else?
Great, a load of links which you've obviously not read (otherwise you'd know which ones were identical) and rather than showing that Muslims are asking for pork to be banned, those relating to porcine matters simply do not expose themselves to it.
The one actual article (rather than anti-muslim blogs) again just states that muslims are not asking for people to change to their beliefs, they're just excluding themselves from activities they consider to be against their own beliefs.
If a teetotaller like myself doesn't go down the pub because it's full of drunken oafs drinking themselves to an early grave, is my avoidance of that pub an attempt to force those inside to give up alcohol, or is it just that I don't agree with getting rat faced?

As for halal meat, you'd best avoid NewZealand lamb then.
Personally, I'd rather animals were processed in accordance to halal, that way they'll be treated with care through their lives, and given a quick painless death, rather than a slow agonizing one from a bolt to the head or electric shock then strung up to slowly bleed to death while their brain is kept oxygenated, but hey, if slow painful death is what you prefer animals to suffer, so be it.
