Thanks for the info all!

Managed to download a copy of the netgear config file so will have a look at that later.

Quite interested on the new antenna tho, possibly save a lot of hassle! Did a quick search on ebay and there seems to be two different types of connections!!

R-TNC and a RPSMA? Any ideas which one for the DG834GT router? Netgear website just stated that it was a 2db antenna as standard, no details on the connection type!
