The shocking statistic of 25% of British Muslims having terrorist sympathies, makes me wonder if the figure is actually higher, I wonder if any were to ashamed to admit that they were sympathetic to people who blow up young and old alike. In fact imo the statistics are made worse by the deafening silence of the other 75% of Muslims, I know for a fact I would not tolerate these things happening without speaking out and as I said earlier, some will say 'it's not up to Muslims to speak out', well fine then, who is it up to, I am sure that the BNP would only be to happy to give a view on their behalf
There have been many members of the muslim community who have denounced the violence though, just as there were many members of the catholic/irish communities who denounced the violence of the IRA.
Given the support in Ireland for Sinn Fein, and Irish celebrities such as Sinead agreeing with the bombing of British children, the support for the IRA appeared much greater than 25%.
I'm also sure that on many occasions when peace was being sought with the IRA, goverment officials were met with "Eire law in Ulster"
Comparing the two, there was more evidence for Irish support of the IRA bombing the UK than muslim support of islamic extremists bombing the UK.
