Disconnection Discounts
I was in dicussion with a friend and he brought up the fact that he is currently only paying £17.99 for the 2Mbit cable internet, As it turns out he was going to disconnect but they offered him a discount!
Its pretty offensive that Ntl are giving discounts like this while loyal customers get stuck with the "normal" £24 price. I know its common practice among many large business and in my opinion it should be illegal, why should a different rule apply to different customers. Is it worth ringing up and threataning to disconnect in order to get this discount? |
Re: Disconnection Discounts
It's up to you but you may want to read the thread that already covers this situation.

And they allways offer deals to new customers, you could phone them and say that, but if you are still in your 12 month contract i dont think they will  |

well after my 12 month contract, by at least 12 months :D I just think its great way to **** of current customers who are happy with the service. |
Re: Disconnection Discounts
It has that effect unfortunately but NTL can't offer that pricing to all customers as they cannot afford to. Shame since I've been using their BB service for years now :( Would be nice to get something from NTL as a bonus now and then but at least they are looking to increase speeds again soon without increasing prices.
