Cant turn audio description off - tivo
 

I press the info button then select audio description then press OK to turn it off but it doesn't turn off! Any ideas?

Is it BBC 1 HD as I have the same problem. BBC1 is working OK and BBC1 HD is working OK on Freesat. I shall just go and see if my V+ is doing the same thing.

Its also doing it on my V+ but the picture is also coming and going. I am rebooting the V+ to see if it gets better.

yes its stopped flashing but the audio description is still there

My BBC1 HD started doing this as well. Earlier on (during the One Show) there was no sound at all.

Lots. Planned changes don't happen in prime viewing time.

That was the actual fault. The audio description stream was switched in as a backup until the Dolby audio was restored.

I thought I had done something wrong, it started last night , turning off AD doesn't do anything, happens in Eastenders mainly and the sound sometimes goes as well.

I noticed earlier that the sound on BBC 1 HD dropped out again - so maybe they switched over to AD instead.

What is really odd is that BBC 1 HD has the AD audio, but BBC 1 (AD) does not have AD.

What is going on here?

We recorded Rip Off Britain and on playing it back it started as Dolby Digital ( I think) and halfway through the sound went. It then came back as Dolby prologic (stereo) then went off and was displaying Dolby digital and then went back to the audio description channel. Funny it happened around the same time as yesterday. The status site shows nothing at the moment but the fault is still being shown on my amp.
