Oh thank goodness for that. Thanks for that Spiderplant. I'm now hoping there will be no issues with the HDMI connection as I have only been getting 576 resolution with my Evesham tv so I'm looking forward to some HD at last when the new tv arrives on Friday.

I'll be interested to hear how that TV performs. On the face of it, it's a pretty amazing price.

Sorry to burst your bubble but that is rubbish , the BBC have to make their content available to the widest possible audience , I would expect the Olympics in 3D to be available to VM , all Satellite customers and Freeview customers just the same as Wimbledon was this year.

Yes,I will get back to you over the weekend and do a little review of it for you.or PM you as it would be off topic on here. It's a relief to read that the Tivo box should be ok with it though.

I just read a few posts on AV Forum where someone said it is not compatable with Virgin 3D and that there will be a fix for it January 15th :confused:

But they don't say which box they have. Most VM users don't have TiVo.

I've found a user comment on a BBC blog that suggests there is not a problem with TiVo. See comment 40 here

The next non-Sky 3D broadcast that I am aware of is Streetdance 3D which will be on BBC HD at 18:25 on New Years Day.

And here lies the problem , lack of content especially if as you say you don't have access to Sky 3D.
