One thing I hope Virgin Media improve is the newsgroup service. They need to add more newsgroups, specifically DVD newsgroups :D

Yes and also 100 days retention not the current 100mins :D

Oh and not forgetting those Linux Binary groups for my ISOs ;)

Doubt it will happen when they rebrand. Maybe it will happen after a couple of months?

I currently have the ntl family pack; mainly because I like discovery and national geographic; however, i notice that according to the leaflet i will need to get virgin L & XL to receive both channels - does anyone know if existing customers will get any preference in this respect?

No the Family Pack is becoming XL TV, so you won't need to change anything.
