Yeah true MM, but some reason behind the view makes a better post.. or something like that :P

Yeah not seen Lion King yet, but got it here to watch. The other halves daughter went to see it at the cinema and said it was the best 3D film she seen. Something about the birds popping out the screen?

Infact I am probably the only person in the UK who ain't seen the Lion King at all.. looking forward to viewing it in full HD 3D glory over the holiday period :)

Wish VM would have a 3D channel, its a pain having to go right into the VOD menus to find the content

Yes.

Virgin Media could be launching a 3D TV channel next year if this guy is to be believed.

I have retweeted it at the below link

This could be good for people that have a 3DTV.

Maybe i could get used to 3D glasses. I would take a while to adjust to wearing 3D glasses.

No.

I just do not like wearing glasses full stop.

Let's hope your eyesight doesn't get less than 20/20, then....

In fairness I think they're using it as a way of getting feedback and improving their 3d on demand offering, but out of interest why poor? Buffering or picture quality, and what platform did you see it on?

I saw it first live on BBC HD and it was an excellent production , even though the shows not upto much :D , I tried it on iplayer on my LG connected TV and the PQ was awful very blocky.

That's exciting and disappointing in equal measure, then. I have to say if the Beeb are prepared to try and develop this format, even against the backdrop of the cuts we all know they're having to make, then its hard to argue that its dying.

ps. you protest too much - we all know you love the show, really!

IMO 3D and the show are junk. I have tried 3D in Comet and Currys.

I believe you are supposed to view 3D in a dimly lit room, not (I imagine) a brightly lit shop floor. That was my mistake when I first got the same TV As OP, thought it was rubbish 'til I read up on it. Fantastic HD picture aswell. Unfortunately, I got mine 7 months ago and paid £629

Is there still an issue with Tivo 3D and the Technika TV?. I've just ordered this package in the sales http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.901-9277.aspx and I'm wondering if the compatability issue which Virgin said would be sorted by December 11th is now fixed?

If not,I will have to bring the VHD box down from upstairs to watch 3D.

Re: 3D using TiVo

I'm not aware of any 3D compatibility problems with TiVo. Do you have a link?

That Technika TV does have a problem with V+ though, and I'd expect V-HD to be affected in the same way.
