Mind it’s been some years since I did my theory for my bike test so it’s probably all changed since then. I was also ridiculously hungover and sleep deprived after flying back from Singapore and going straight to the assessment centre |
Re: People failing driving tests repeatedly
I'm glad there was never a theory test when I took mine.

Re: People failing driving tests repeatedly
I passed my test the month before theory tests first came in. I like that you need to pass your theory to get to learn to drive, South Africa had that way back. I still get a new Highway Code every couple of years and have a read through but new rules are generally publicised pretty well especially with the "furore" that is always generated with changes.
I agree with the problem with experienced drivers and hazard perception. We do tend to see the problem earlier plus we sometimes see other things we regard as a potential hazard but is wrong for the test. |
Re: People failing driving tests repeatedly
I failed my theory test by one mark 15+ odd years ago. Everyone I spoke to told me to retake it asap but I felt deflated and did not taking their advice. I use to drive too fast according to my driving instructor. I just wanted to get the lesson over with.
I'm still without a driving license and provisional (expired). But I have a rail card :woot: At night when I'm out I see flashing white lights. Like the street lamps are strobing. I've had my eyes checked, they are healthy. Just as well I'm not driving to be honest. The back of my neck frequently spasms. I've had an MRI scan. Results were normal no need for further treatment. Doctors say I need to manage it. |
