 Well, that remains to be seen. If you buy into everything, it may well cost more, and PPV is an expensive way of viewing anyway.

However, most will probably choose which of these packages to subscribe to, rather than get the whole kaboosh. Given the amount of dross, even on the Sky channels, and the sheer choice you get on the streaming services, there will be many who just opt for the freeview stuff and the add a streaming pack on top. That would probably give you more choice at a cheaper price than now if you happen to subscribe to all the TV channel packages at the moment.

Sadly I can't get involved in this with you again. I have had my fair share of bashing my head against a wall whilst you constantly change your arguments in the past.

It is very tempting to do so again though..

I'm guessing that the majority of the public will continue to subscribe to a normal linear service. They don't want to put the effort in into finding a show on a streaming service unless there is a global search available

It's not that difficult. You soon get to know the various streaming services and what they offer.

Subscribing to just a few forum threads keeps you alerted to what's coming along.

I think you're taking that a bit too far mate, the misuse of the word "effort" for a start, it doesn't take any effort to find what you want on TV nowadays..:)

Aren't the streaming devices now upping their game when it comes to searching across multiple services , I know Roku certainly are. The only real obstacle remaining is that many boxes still don't have the full complement of streaming services however things are improving.

I agree. Try searching through a tv mag to find a programme that you know is coming, but don't know what day or what channel. That's an effort.

Just typing the name of the programme in search is no effort at all.

If you've been into Netflix, you will have seen how easy it is to pick a programme that might be of interest to you. I really don't see what the problem is.

Hi, Harry. Your contribution is always welcome!

However, I don't know what you mean by my 'constantly changing my arguments'! I think I have been pretty consistent in what I personally think will happen. However, I need to put different scenarios across sometimes to answer specific questions that come up in the posts.

I am not claiming to have all the answers. I am simply speculating intelligently about changes that we might see over the coming years.
