Netflix via Virgin Media

I currently have my own Netflix account independent of VM, however, following a contract renewal, VM are now including Netflix in my bundle. Does anyone here know how this works in order to ensure I don't continue paying independently? Is it a case of changing the billing info in my current Netflix account?

Cheers,

Cliff

Re: Netflix via Virgin Media

I think the options to changeover come up on the 360 when your first try and signin to Netflix - as I did NOT want VM to takeover so had to choose a different option.

Re: Netflix via Virgin Media

I 'piggybacked' my sons Netflix account for a bit. VM sent numerous emails saying I should subscribe via them,as Netflix would somehow be so much better ( the cheeky beggars wanted to charge for it too)

He now has something called Plex , where everything is free. So Netflix can go swivel, not that there was much worth watching anyway.

Plex shares will not be free unless he has all the content on his own server or has stolen log ins which will not last

I have a family Plex server just for me and my daughter

You need to cancel your current account with Netflix, let it expire then sign up again via VM using the same email address and password. You should keep all your settings etc. Details in link below...

Unless that’s changed recently that’s total nonsense I literally signed into Netflix and pressed a button and that was it

When I did it I got an email from Virgin with a link to Netflix. Just followed the instructions and no further payments were taken.

Quote:
Hello HUXIE,

Great news – Netflix is included in your package with us. Follow the steps below to activate your Netflix account and start watching right away.

Step 1
Head straight to Netflix here and follow the steps to activate your account. Your Virgin Media package comes with a Netflix Standard Plan included, which allows you to watch in HD and on up to two devices at the same time, but if you want even more, you can simply upgrade to the Netflix Premium Plan for an additional monthly cost.

Already have Netflix? No problem. Just make sure you use the same email address that your current Netflix account’s registered to. Everything will then transfer over to us automatically.

Kind regards,
The Virgin Media team

They need to update their "help" pages then. Having said that, that was the way it worked when I moved my Netflix billing to VM.

Re: Netflix via Virgin Media

Thanks folks - a couple of ways to try then, I'll see how I get on. I've not had an e-mail from Virgin re Netflix, but will hunt down the "activate Netflix" button and see what happens.

Cheers,

Cliff
