AV update scam day?

Is today national update your AV scam day?

In the past couple of hours I have had emails ' allegedly ' from Norton, McAfee and TM AV ( no idea who that last one is supposed to be). All advising me that my AV software is due to expire and to follow the links to update my software.

Needless to say I don't use any of the aforementioned products.

Ditto, one e-mail from Total AV, one from Norton and two from McAfee, and to make my day complete two texts about tax refunds and a new HSBC payment. They've had a busy but pointless day.

Re: AV update scam day?

I had about another 10 after posting and overnight / today. The only common theme being about various anti virus products that need renewing and all to one particular ntlworld addy. I know this particular addy has been compromised from visiting haveibeenpwned in the past so I ignore most of the stuff that drops in the inbox but annoying nevertheless.
