That's the Netflix UK Facebook page, and its running a localised version of the video. Most of the places I tried to view it yesterday had embedded YouTube videos that wouldn't play for me - it looked like they were region restricted. I eventually found a fan re-upload directly on YouTube that did work. The studio logos on that version were all CBS.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

The show is premiering on CBS All-Access in the USA and Netflix in the U.K. Which studio you see on the trailer depends on which localised trailer you have got hold of. The one Den linked to on Facebook is uk-localised. Most of the stuff being re-uploaded all over YouTube originates in the US.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

It is not looking good. This is synonymous with VM's speed upgrades; don't advertise something which you know you are not going to deliver. This entire thing is starting to become a bit of an anti-climax and I hope somebody higher up is going to do an investigation to find out what is going on because all of this is damaging the franchises reputation and frustrating fans all around the world. Hopefully putting it back a second time will give them the necessary kick up the ass to get it sorted ready for the fall release schedule with all other prime time series.

Quote:
Don’t say we didn’t warn you. CBS boss Les Moonves has announced the upcoming Star Trek: Discovery TV show will not premiere on CBS All Access in May, as previously announced. Instead, the newest installment in the Star Trek TV series franchise will makes its debut in late-summer or early fall. This is the second announced delay.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

It'll arrive when it arrives.

So far from what I know about it, I cannot say I'm exactly over excited anyway, so I guess we'll just wait, and see what we get.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

At least it is in production now. There was a small teaser video released a few weeks back.

That's a great casting. I still have high hopes that it will be good when it eventually arrives.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

i hope this is good with all the news i have been hearing its not looking great, apparently there is a lot of infighting, script changing and the fans are not liking the look of the ship.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

I don't mind the look of the ship. Its not going to prevent me enjoying it.

As long as the stories are good and the acting is alright then that will be fine with me.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

The teaser video they realeased a few weeks back implies that the ship design may have evolved a bit.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

I was inclined to think that that wire frame model that was shown is another ship entirely as an sure the Discovery as shown in some storyboards or artwork.
