Hardly a great deal in it. The true answer to "Who made more miners redundant Conservative or Labour" is of course Arthur Scargill.
Again, you quote mine numbers and not actual employed miners ...

Interesting, your Wales Online article was written by a certain Tory politician who served as Secretary of State for Wales. He also seems to be the same individual who is in a bit of bother: Boris Johnson urged to ditch Alun Cairns as an election candidate

Definitely a reliable source ..

I do fear for places like Wales post Brexit. Scotland have a possible escape route, but not so it seems the Principality. Along with the North of England and SW, the EU insurance against a right wing Govt. starving these areas of investment will be gone. Workers rights will be slashed, major employers will leave and any investment channeled to the SE. It's storing up long term trouble, division and eventual break up of the UK. I don't think that's what folks voted for. They need to have a think when they vote again.

Yes, like Wales is doing so well under Labour.

If you talk about investment, you need to recognise that Labour policy will have investors ditching Britain and taking their money elsewhere. If Labour spend huge sums on investment, it will bankrupt the country, so we will have little to show for it.

The best hope for Wales is a Conservative government, and no, they won't starve Wales of investment if they win more seats in Wales, of course they won't. You have no evidence that they will 'slash workers' rights' either. They have already said they want to improve workers' rights, so you appear to be spouting old prejudices rather than basing your opinions on facts that you can justify in 2019.

As for the break-up of the UK, I think that is far more likely under ditherer Comrade Corbyn.

The National Assembly has little power. Wales has had a Conservative govt. for 10 years like the rest of us, hence the issues they and the rest of the UK have.

Is the NHS in Wales not run by Wales?

It makes me laugh the Labour keep saying the NHS is safe in their hands when, demonstrably, the Welsh NHS is a much worse performer than NHS England, run by the Conservatives.

The last time NHS England was run by Labour, patients were drinking out of vases due to the lack of attention paid to them, and instead of rectifying the problem, Andy Burnham tried to cover it up.

Sorry, but the NHS is definitely not safe in Labour hands, and before you come out with your usual statement, it is not up for sale under the Conservatives. Corbyn keeps saying it although there is no basis in fact for it and both Boris and Trump have confirmed that this is not the case. Just another stab at 'weaponising' the NHS.

The sooner we enable NHS hospitals and health centres to be self-governing, the better. Encourage private treatment instead of frowning on it, to reduce waiting lists for those who cannot afford it and thereby bring more money into NHS coffers.

All this politicking is ridiculous. We just want a well-run NHS that works for people. It is currently broken and needs reform.

"All this politicking is ridiculous"

Tories don't want to discuss the NHS, don't want to discuss Grenfell...

All they do want to talk about is Union Flag waving nationalism.

Funny, I could’ve sworn Boris went to the CBI yesterday and told them he was cancelling their business tax cut to spend the money on the NHS.

I guess we all just see what we want to see.

But he's got that extra £350m week to spend on the NHS... He wrote in on a bus, and he doesn't tell porky pies..... (well apart from the businesses he promised a tax cut to and a few other hundred things)

Theresa May allocated that to the NHS during her term, remember?

The NHS is an inefficient black hole and needs to be completely revamped, using modern computer systems rather than people wheeling trollies around stacked with files.

It is ridiculous. Every move made to reform the NHS is negated by politicians who deem it to be an 'attack' on the NHS. One thing Labour have achieved is the weaponisation of the NHS. Who benefits from that?

Have we not been there before and boy oh boy what a unmitigated disaster it turned out to be....

You mean the figure that should now be £384 Million week?

Whether it is over £350 Million a week or £100 a week, paying to be a member of this con job and corrupt union, should hopefully soon come to an end.

On the contrary. It negates the statement you made about 'Tories not wishing to discuss the NHS'. You are making this stuff up and you should not be allowed to get away with it.

Boris will certainly be speaking about the NHS tonight on TV.
