Re: virgin to scrap V PLUS CHARGE
No doubt a response to Sky removing their charge.

Re: virgin to scrap V PLUS CHARGE
If true.
I'm assuming if you don't have V+ then I guess you'd just have to fork out for an installation cost to get the service? Unlike Sky you do not need to buy the box as it's owned by VM.

Re: virgin to scrap V PLUS CHARGE
I dont think they will offer it for free because sky still charge for their hd service but not for the + service

Re: virgin to scrap V PLUS CHARGE
i wonder if they will have enough boxes to go around if there is a mad rush for them ? i reckon they will charge £5 per month with the first 6 months free
---------- Post added at 16:53 ---------- Previous post was at 16:50 ----------
would i be correct in thinking customers could self install this product ? Also maybe and this is a just maybee virgin will start selling the box in its stores for say £50 ?

Re: virgin to scrap V PLUS CHARGE
I can't see them scrapping the charge... Otherwise you've got hundreds of thousands of STBs that noone will want.
They'd probably lower the monthly charge though

Charging for it as an HD service will be talking the proverbial though given the astounding, unbelievable range of HD content that actually gets you...

Theoretically you could probably do a self install, but ideally VM want you to keep the original box and have it relocated to increase the revenue from you and make the most of the old box. Otherwise they have to either get rid of a ton of boxes or store them - either way it's not making them money.

Sorry but with the amount of idiots on here at the moment i have decided to have a policy of NO COMMENT. I have already had my comments used to make it look like i said something which i did not.

Makes sense to get your order in now. I should imagine that even they drop it down to 5 quid, they'd be a rush on for them.
