Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other Snippets
I find the overly stylized visuals quite off-putting. I thought Snyder's last effort, 300, was a piece of crap, and that the guy shouldn't be directing anything other than music videos. That said, Carla Gugino and Malin Akerman in tight spandex is hard to say no to.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other Snippets
The BBC Press Office has announced that the first two minutes of the forthcoming Doctor Who Christmas special, "The Next Doctor", will be broadcast as an exclusive preview for the episode as part of this year's Children in Need charity telethon.
Nice can't wait to see it

Yes, and the more I see of it (The new Star Trek film I mean) the more I grow to hate it...

Any particular reasons? I haven't read or seen much about it, so don't really have any feelings on it in either direction [like or hate].

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other Snippets
It will be interesting to see if a remake of Forbidden Planet comes to anything..
Mind I'm even more thrilled at the idea of a Lensman film..

Straczynski also has feature projects "The Flickering Light" and "Lensman" with Ron Howard at Imagine Entertainment

But as I can't find anything later than January of this year I'm not holding my breath...

A Lensman film would be nice.

How about this for some new info

J. Michael Straczynski, the writer of the Clint Eastwood-directed Changeling, is penning a long-in-the-works update of sci-fi classic Forbidden Planet for Warner Bros. Joel Silver is producing via Silver Pictures.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other Snippets

So the Being Human cast has been revealed with only one original character and a new story. Thoughts?
I think this is a bad idea to change everything, it just doesn't look like it's going to work now.
