Re: Falling Skies - Final Series
Its just more of the same old same old.
I think it's gone on for too long. I expect that's why it is transmitted at this time of the year when there is little else to compete with it for viewers attention.

Re: Falling Skies - Final Series
Well it's the last series. There's loads of stuff either ignored or glossed over from the previous seasons.
The whole thing about the " mystical" star child from the last season was a monumental error.
Best to move on. Hopefully they can wrap it up satisfactorily

they just cobbled a load of tosh story together and filmed it in the dark to try and make it exiting ,it was very disappointing.

Re: Falling Skies - Final Series
The constant references to independence and fighting the British throughout the entire 4/5 years this has been on, irritated. Plus, the fact that despite this being only a small series, by American standards which can go to 22 episodes+ each season, there was a heck of a lot of padding in it.
That said, I enjoyed the first series and have stuck with it to the bitter end. But the final episode was utter tripe. If the lead actor could've actually acted, this would've improved this series immensely.
You either have an adult drama, or a "family values" drama, trying to mix both doesn't work. If I had written this, I know I could've done something a lot more interesting with the brothers after the same girl storyline.
Bye, Bye Falling Skies, you won't really be missed.

Re: Falling Skies - Final Series
I think it only lasted as long as it did because it was filling a niche that has been empty for quite some time.
There are a few scifi shows with big budgets and potential coming out between now and the start of the new year so hopefully we actually get something really good from at least one of them.
