Cityfibre residential hardware

I just noticed that Cityfibre appear to be using the exact same kit in the streets as VM are for Project Lightning FTTP areas. The cabinets are the same, the termination points are the same, the only difference appears to be the colour of the microducts and the branding on the floor plates. I wonder whether this was intentional or just because that's the [only / best] kit available. Obviously being a passive network, it makes no difference whether it's for GPON or DOCSIS over RFog. Maybe VM and Voda are keeping their options open.
