London 2012 chief Lord Coe says the city's Olympic preparations are ahead of schedule with 1000 days to go.
The site has a great 16 month timelapse shot compressed into 2 minutes showing the construction on the stadium

All this money really could've been spent on much much more important things. I shall be boycotting the Olympics.

So you won't be working for any company that has any connection with the Olympics?Or ever using any facilities when the Games are over. Also you will have to boycott ANY industry that is connected with the Games.Retailers, fast food chains etc, etc.

I suspect that those companies working on the project have been more than happy to be working during this present recession.

I have done for years.

The Sport seems only an afterthought behind the Financial and Political interests.

The same things that have already destroyed Eurovision and seriously look like destroying Formula One.

Re: 1000 days to go

An Olympic torch carried through a Berkshire town prior to the 1948 games has been uncovered at a sports memorabilia day.

Mr Poad now hopes to start a campaign for the torch relay to pass through the town ahead of the 2012 games in London.
