I've forgotten my Virgin Media email
Your My Virgin Media username is your email address, to get a reminder of what email you use, you'll need to confirm:
The account holder’s last name
Your account number
Your area reference
You can find this information on one of your monthly bills, one of the emails we send each month to let you know your bill is ready or your welcome pack.
Get an email reminder:
Head to the My Virgin Media sign in page
Select Forgotten email
Enter the account holder’s last name, account number and area reference
Select Continue

Re: email passwords
If you are using an email client you'll also need to setup a seperate password. Here is the relevant info from the Virgin Media website
Quote:
If you want to access your Virgin Media emails from an app, you’ll need to create a separate app password through Account settings on My Virgin Media.
To get the password, follow these steps:
Sign in to My Virgin Media
a. Go to Account settings, then Account details
b. Tap Manage next to Manage your Virgin Media Mail app password under Virgin Media Mail
c. Then, under Virgin Media Mail app password tap Generate new App password and follow the instructions.
A new secure password will be generated for you. Your app password can be used for all apps accessing your Virgin Media mail address. If you create a new app password, you’ll need to update all your existing apps with the new password.
We need to give you a separate app password to help make things more secure as IMAP and POP don’t support extra protection steps, like Multi Factor Authentication.
Remember that this password is separate from your sign in details for My Virgin Media (or any Virgin Media apps). So, if you need to check your Virgin Media Mail emails through My Virgin Media or at mail.virginmedia.com, you'll still use your My Virgin Media password.

Re: email passwords
If you know the main account then log into that on the Virgin Media website and I think you can manage other accounts from there.

Re: email passwords
GRRRR, VM have just locked my email account so my password doesn’t work. This also happened on my wife’s email account a couple of months ago. It was a bit of a faff but I was able to reset her password using the steps listed above by ‘danbayliss’. That process has now been changed and you now have to reset your username email to a non VM email address before you can change your password. I used my gmail account and the first time I did this a verification message did arrive in my gmail inbox. I followed the steps until the last verification step when the whole thing froze and hung there until I eventually shut it down. I tried again and was advised the verification link had expired and I had to re apply. I have now done this on four or five occasions in the last three hours but no verification email is now being sent out.
Apart from waiting for several hours then trying again I am now at am impasse. Any suggestions, I have already been on the VM Community Forums for a while trying to resolve it.

Re: email passwords
As You seem to have had similair problems as I am having did you get a resolution?
I am confused as to what passwords are which as I have my email address, (ntlworld.com) my wifes email(ntlworld.com) one virgin media account but to log in I have to use a yahoo account to log in to the virgin media to access my emails and a gmail account to log on to access the virgin media account my wifes emails. As far as I can work out ther doesn't seem to be any passwords for the email accounts (ntlworld).Does the app password (generated by virgin media) work for both emails?? I am very confused any help appreciated

Re: email passwords
When I had the problem with my wife’s email address I didn’t need to use a third party email address and was able to obtain a new password generated by the options on my account page. This generated a password of four, five letter words separated by hyphens . With this I was able to reset her email password on all her devices and email client apps.
Since then the system has changed and you have to use a non VM third party email address to use the password reset option. I eventually got it to work but it does seem a lot of messing around and it appears my email/password for my Virgin Media account is now a gmail address with another similarly long auto generated password.
It was a bit of a faff having to alter the password settings on all the various email clients across several devices I use. The only one that presented problems was my Samsung phone. I was able to reset the password for the Samsung mail app but several attempts to reset the Outlook app on my phone failed. I eventually rebooted the phone and the password reset worked for Outlook as well. I had no problems with Outlook on my PC or iPad though.
I should add I had to get help from a Virgin Media employee via the VM Community forums who was able to resend the link to my gmail account for the verification reset page. Even this ‘appeared’ to fail with the ‘Oops something’s gone wrong’ message but he was able to confirm the changes had actually gone through.

Re: email passwords
thank you for prompt reply I think I am slowly getting to grips with the system and I will attempt to reset everything to a working order ..It all started when my wife asked me to find an old email ... which I have since found out it was one of the "missing " emails in july when VM lost a lot of mail. so its gone forever but I made the mistake of resetting her windows mail reader. It went rapidly dowhill from there.

Re: email passwords
If I ever get really stuck I find that there are people who are able to help directly over at the Virgin Media Community forums.
