I dont feel I ever waste my time when I spend my time in nature... Nothing more beautiful.... Nothing smells better,etc...........
Looking at nature documentaries isnt bad either and there are some beautiful free documentaries.
This is just wonderful

Totally agree. Sometimes just going for a walk, a change of scene, it is so good for you.
I don't know if you know the Lake District in the UK, but it is a wonderful place and one of my favourite places to walk along mountains and rivers.

Re: Share the importance of nature in your life
We have an old canal just down the road.
I walk along it a few times a week in the warmer months.
As to Nature programmes, I watch the one actually called "Nature".
https://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/episodes/
Being PBS, you should not have any problem watching it in the US.

Re: Share the importance of nature in your life
I live next to a large park that is literally just 3 minutes away from me. It takes just over an hour to walk around with various routes and nature trails to take. We do try to get around it 1-3 times a fortnight if possible. Love the changing of seasons and as you get to see it all in one place.

Re: Share the importance of nature in your life
I spent most of the last 20 years living in the middle of a national park, and not in a village either - right out in the wilderness. It was brilliant, except when a massive storm would take the power down for 3 or 4 days at a time. Then it was just cold.
Work led me to move into a town recently, and it’s odd hearing traffic noises again after so long, but there’s a nature reserve near my house and a river running right through the town. It’s a post-industrial area that is regenerating and there are deer, kingfishers and otters nearby. So it’s all rather lovely.

My garden is my green oasis, or I can walk under 5 minutes to the river bank and disappear into a forest minutes later.
Nature certainly calms me.

Re: Share the importance of nature in your life
I love this time of year when most of the plants and shrubs start coming to life. My daily nature fix is being visited by dozens of white doves who are there first thing in the morning and come and go throughout the day. In the warmer weather they will come and feed from my hand.
Sorry cant rotate image.

I was brought up from the age of 4-18 in the beautiful British countryside. Always appreciated it and would enjoy relaxing on the side of Pendle Hill. Would do so even now all these years later.
BTW Tinky, happy to oblige.

I didn't enlarge it Tinky. I actually reduced the size of the original.

Re: Share the importance of nature in your life
About 200m from home open fields we can walk around (much concern the silly sods want to build on them) and the start of a bridle path that leads out to an SSI.
