Adding a new number to existing mobile account

Hi,

I've had a virgin contract sim only for a year or so, and I'm happy with it.

My wife has a payg with a different provider.

She's thinking of getting a cheap SIM only Virgin monthly contract like I have.

I'm not sure which is the best process

1) She does it all herself

i.e. gets a PAC from current provider

orders sim from virgin, uses pac to keep number, has her own Virgin Mobile

or

2) in my account, I order another monthly sim, pay the bill with mine

she gets PAC from provider

I enter the PAC

add number into my account

I have TV, landline, broadband etc if that makes a difference.

Cheers
