Re: What are you eating now?
Just been to De Baga in Chapel Allerton with some friends - I had Nepali Chicken Momos for starters (Chicken mince stuffed dumplings, with a fierce Roasted Tomato Chutney that asked some questions), then for main I had Dhabi Mutton Curry with rich onion tomato sauce, fennel seeds and dry ginger, & an onion & coriander naan, washed down by a couple of pints of Bombay IPA from the Pivo 44 brewery.

Re: What are you eating now?
Our rare treat Chinese food delivery increased by 11% last Autumn. Today it has gone up another 14%.
I think our treats are going to be ever rarer in future.

Re: What are you eating now?
M&S paella. The £15 meal deal for two. It was disgusting. It had a smokey taste to it, very over powering.

Chinese takeaway prices seem to have gone nuts
£4.50 for a portion of egg fried rice
£6 for hot and sour soup
£9 for house special satay
And then they want £6 for delivery…..
Nope……

Re: What are you eating now?
We try not to buy rice with takeaways as we can cook it in our rice cooker while we go fetch it or wait for it to be delivered. I prefer plain boiled rice so it's easy and as you can see from example prices above would save £9.
Unfortunately costs are rising and vendors can't absorb it all.
