Indeed it should be easy to cancel a premium channel as long as the 30 day notice is given as they have a app on the V6 where one can subscribe and yet its useless if one cannot cancel a premium channel on there as well.

Get out there and support your local club, at whatever level they are, before you lose them.

Most premiership football clubs have full houses (or very close to) - there are also millions of people who live nowhere near to a premiership football team.

However, I totally agree with your suggestion that some people may well cancel sports altogether.

I'm sure this is why VM suspended the sports subs rather than cancel and people have to resubscribe

Re: Can I pause my skysports package while there is no live football on ?

I have just been sent my bill for next month - the suspension of Sky/BT sports has been applied to the bill correctly (whole month discounted + proportion refunded from last month)

As a big sports fan I will be happy to resume asap, but I wonder how many will bin sports altogether at the end of this.

It is certainly making me reevaluate whether I really need Sky Sports anymore.

Indeed some won't be able to afford it given their new employment circumstances as their employment income and the disposable income they would use from that is not there anymore as there are far more pressing priorities for use with their money within their household.

Other who's finances will not have changed much might decide they can do without such premium add ons and their money can be put to much better use in their lives.

Others might subscribe again because sport is something they have missed seeing.

Those are just a couple of reasons.

I'm missing it to, although the upside has been time to watch and clear most of the 100 or so football/rugby matches I recorded but haven't had time to watch before now.

But I would welcome the resumption of the football & rugby seasons as soon as it is wise to do so - even behind closed doors. Doing this may save a large number of clubs from going under.

Football and rugby behind closed doors totally ruins the occasion, you need fans at these events for the atmosphere.

I agree, but he who pays the piper calls the tune. That's TV money.

Extremely unlikely anytime in the next few months and estimations from some that it could be 6 months or longer before sports will entertain having fans in sports grounds again.

I think you are correct - cannot see any mass gatherings befor September, so if sports wish to/are able to finish this season it will be behind closed doors with players having been tested prior to each game.

Obviously not the best solution, but better than not completing the season.

I don't agree, the whole of sport should be called null and void imo.

People opinions are rather divided on this depending on what their team's position is in the league !

Totally agree, otherwise it will be two seasons that will be compromised and my local team is second from bottom of league one.

As Mr K suggested just above - one's stance is clouded by personal circumstances.
