Virgin to create 500 call centre jobs

Perhaps now the penny has dropped that outsourced call centres are not the answer to everything.

A very welcome move, but how many of these UK centres will stay open after the CV situation is over, I wonder.

All of them I would think - they are already open, this is just increasing the numbers in them.

Re: Virgin to create 500 call centre jobs

they want to make hast & get them working . I have tried 4 times to get thru I know this may be because of this flu virus but I am beginning to think they are using this has an excuse to stop answering phone calls recorded answering saying go to VM website utterly useless the web chat not working at this time there is no way to contact VM for a company of this size it is not good enough. I bet sky customers don't have this problem ?

Some of their call centres are out of action because of the Coronavirus currently so trying to get through to them on phone can take up to a hour going by my own experiences so patience is required.

Webchat is a complete waste of time as there is no one that is going to reply to you apart from a automated bot.

As for Sky l suspect they generally have the same type issues one would imagine.

well the phone recording says you will have to wait up to 1hrs . I waited about 1h 30min & still no joy. I had to hang up the battery on my phone was running low sorry to say this is not good enough when you want answers to problems & you cannot contact them but they are quick enough to take your monthly subscription . think I will be going back to sky in the future for phone / bb / tv !

Why do you want to call them? We might be able to suggest another way to answer your questions.

Aye, Virgin Media are the worst of the lot (and that's saying something!) Their rating has been like this well before the effects of the pandemic took hold.

No worse then anybody else Richard and given the circumstances one must understand the unprecedented situations many companies find themselves in whether its here or in the rest of the world.
