Re: Virgin Media V6 - Powered by TiVo(new STB)
?????. My V6 has a single, low intensity blue light on the front, red when in standby. Even if I sat a few inches away from it I would not call it bright or intrusive.

Maybe they sleep in the same room as it which is the issue?

A blue light? Clearly they changed things at some point. The light on our V6 is a dim white horizontal light. It does turn red in standby though.

Well it's a white/very pale blue to my eyes, still very small and unobtrusive IMO.
Looking more closely I will agree it's more white, might be the coating on my glasses causing the bluish tint.

We have never had any problem in our household to be perfectly honest.

Possibly as mine seems completely white to me and the online manual calls it white too.

Re: Virgin Media V6 - Powered by TiVo(new STB)
Why does the VM V6 Box not update its EPG guide in the event of late scheduling changes?
Surely, with its built in technology advances together with the modem and fiber network, you'd expect late changes to be updated near instantly. Sky and even my Freeview TV update no problem while the V6 still lags behind.

It's the way the TiVo software is designed. It does a 'callback' every few hours and at that point the EPG is updated.

I realise it does that auto call-back, however it is often days behind sky's EPG when changes are made - so that isn't the reason.
A specific example would be availability of red button football coverage which are often not updated until the day of the match or the preceding day, when sky's EPG has had the details for days.
Just who does the changes at VM base?
Do they only pick up when sky tell them?
And a related question, when is Virgin going to set up sub-menus to allow recording of the red button streams as sky do?
