So it treats an on demand download just like a recording? Very nice.

On Demand downloads appear in your planner with the with download progress information but you're still able to record two other things whilst a download is in progress.

l think Netflix and Lovefilm will do well to survive in the coming years as from what l hear Netflix's profits are coming under severe pressure in America and there is a lack of content deals as well from what l hear.

I really doubt that. The price point of Lovefilm and Netflix is very good; people might squeeze that into their monthly budget, but be reluctant to pay the £15 for Now TV. Plus both Netflix and Lovefilm have a good selection of TV shows included in the price; when Now TV adds TV shows, the price will be more than £15 for both films and TV.

Netflix have also just done a good deal for TV shows, though how many of the shows currently showing on Sky channels, will make it to the UK Netflix is hard to say.

I agree but Now TV has not long been launched and im sure it will get better over time with new content being added.

I don't have a problem with the content on Now TV; they have the best film content and I think Now TV was a great move by Sky. But compared to Netflix and Lovefilm, it is quite expensive, so Lovefilm and Netflix will bring in customers who aren't prepared to pay so much for extra content, but will be prepared to accept older content for a lower price.

I hope Sky hurry up and add the Entertainment side, so that Atlantic shows becomes available to everyone and not just people who are prepared to have Sky's satellite services.

The trouble is Sky will make people who have not got any Sky services pay over the odds and of that we can rely on..

That doesn't seem to have applied to the movie side though; £15 p/m for Now TV and £16 p/m on a Sky box (SD prices). Is there any content missing from Now TV that is on a box that accounts for the cheaper price?

The trouble is, when atlantic launches, we will have nothing to compare the price with.
