BBC1 announce new daytime shows
Just seen the six new shows to be part of the BBC's prime channel offering for day times.
My God, they must be serious about encouraging people throwing sickies to go back to work! Who would want to watch so much of this junk?
I wouldn't mind, but pay-tv isn't any better.

Not much to watch there but my Mum is rather unhappy as they are axing one of her favourites.

If you want better daytime programmes OB, you'll have to campaign for a higher licence fee

this is why I don't watch terrestrial tv.
I don't know if you have seen it yet but you should take a look at my tv schedule thread which lists the prime time US series and when they are on. There is some good stuff on it and something to suit everyone's tastes.

Re: BBC1 announce new daytime shows
There's plenty enough stuff on terrestrial primetime to record and more than cover all the daytime required....

In fairness, most channels, whatever country they are from, put on low budget, often crap, things, or repeats during the day. Purely because most of their intended audience is either at work or at school. Why pay millions when even on a big channel, your programme might only get a few hundred thousand viewers?

Repeats of shows over the past week on prime time would be better. At present, most adults are not catered for at all during the day by the terrestrials and other freeview channels. It's all soft news and chat shows with a generous sprinkling of reality junk. Surely, they can do better than this.
