Sky TV or BT YouView...

Im debating very much on what to have when i move into my new house as it doesnt have VM services..

i will be taking either the BT Infinity 2 or Sky Fibre Non Pro.

what do you think?? BT without Vision is cheapest, even though its 18 months, plus its 65mb.

But for £6 extra a month i can get the Sky TV Extra... which contains a huge amount of channels.. im not 100% bothered about the tele, if i didnt have it i wouldnt miss it, but if i did have it, i'd watch it.

its all based on contract lenght aswell, after 12 months i can probably get sky to drop the price by like £5 a month easily, or get something extra.. or maybe even Pro for no extra saving me £10..

but i wouldnt want to keep it at 61£ pm i could take the TV to basic or even take it out after 12 months, an use it as a free view box.. an pay the fee to keep using the services *£10 isnt it?

**i didnt compare BT 40 mb package as it has limited usage**

Just to clarify I was also looking into the Fibre of Bt and the others and I think I worked out BT to be cheaper but BT aren't actually supplying the Youview box as of yet.

You will end up with the BT Vision box.

Re: Sky TV or BT YouView...

Your sums are wrong. Your total cost for BT is based on 18 months, and your monthly cost is derived by dividing the total over 12 when it should be 18. This means that BT is about £25 per month (instead of 37) and Sky is £18 per month dearer.

Think about it, BT after promotions is £26 per month, yet you computed a cost per month of £37. That's impossible with only £7 one-off costs.
