It says its available to both.
Quote:
At launch, Stream is available to both new and existing customers who take a Virgin Media broadband only or broadband and home phone package
|
Allthough, you would have to cancel any existing TV I guess.
Quote:
Who is Stream available to?
Stream is available to customers with M50 Fibre Broadband or above and those with Broadband & Home Phone.
Stream is currently not available to customers who already have a Virgin TV service. It’s also not available for Virgin Media Essential broadband customers.

Somehow I think you are wrong .ie if you cancel you can not then claim new customer discounts. So why would they allow that ? Good if they did

If I'm wrong I don't care. I have no interest in any TV via VM in any form. Never had, never will.
For years I've been able to watch what I want to watch, that's why I don't even need freeview and haven't needed to pay for a TV license.

I don't care either but still waiting to see old boy comment , if they won't let TV viewers change ,looks like they are concerned that streaming is the way to go

Where does it say they wont let TV viewers change ?
Its made perfectly clear its available to existing customers who dont have TV.
So if you do, cancel it and then you'll be and existing customer with no TV service.

I agree. because it's existence is primarily as a broadband retention tool and not having to offer discojnts to incentivise this.
Virgin make little from their traditional TV service, but much more from broadband services. They are far more concerned in keeping you as a long term boadband customer than they are in the pittance that selling TV makes for them.
