Re: New software installing
It is currently on some of Sky EPGs channels on SkyQ. You can spot the ones on Sky Sports Golf as they keep freezing.
Been a few reports in the Sky forums.

It would be easier to spot them if they had a timer.

Where Sky owns the channels, won't Sky be the one selling the ad slots in the first place?

Re: New software installing
An agency I guess - but they are on regular channels.
I understand they will be too on VM.
I wonder if the adsmart ad breaks on both platforms are the same slots?

You can, but that just means you'll get random adverts instead. Personally I'd rather have ones that might be in some way useful to me.

On the box go to Help & Settings > Help > Virgin TV > Settings > Advertising Preferences > Continue > Disable Relevant Advertising Setting

Thank you.
Hopefully they'll be highlighting this opt out (7 levels down from from Help & Settings ! ), and making customers aware they are being targeted with AdSmart. Could they use this info for any other purpose? E.g. selling user profiles to whoever wants it for general sales purposes?
