Padding problems- new bug?
For the past week or so, i've noticed that manual extensions to recordings are showing as not present when I go back in to check if they've been done correctly.
Now, on what appears to be recordings added by Suggestions or Wishlists, it is adding ridiculously long padding. For example, on 4/1/21 it's added 'Butterfly on a Wheel' which is on Sony Movies (425) at 23:55 with an hour's padding! I amended it to 1 minute as I usually do for films, but it keeps amending it back to no padding.
Has anyone else noticed this? I think I read somewhere that there has been a recent V6 update. I'm hoping that it isn't my replacement box.

Re: Padding problems- new bug?
I once had a movie on one of the movie channels record an hour of the next movie and I had set no padding. It was simply an error in guide data.

So it's not a TiVo bug. Good.

Re: Padding problems- new bug?
Butterfly on the Wheel should list as running for 1hr 55min without padding.
It starts at 23:55 and runs to 24:50 (55 minutes) where it has a five minute break before running for another 55 minutes. The V6 will join the two together appearing to add 60 minutes to the first 23:55 slot.
I've never seen padding cause a problem with no clashes around.

Yeah, but it doesn't usually deal with it in that way. If you set it to record a film in two parts, it usually treats them both as separate programmes (but if only one part is selected, it will automatically pick up the other part). The V+ would only record the part selected to record!

Re: Padding problems- new bug?
For films - it always treats them as one programme starting at the beginning of the first part and ending at the end of the second part - recording the breaking programme in the middle too.
Used on mainly the on Sony and ITV channels.
