Just checked what's happened (as its closed on Sky too) and the linear channel on 979 is still encrypted with the EPG saying 'Channel No Longer Available'.
Curiously the Pay Per Night version on 971 is showing a 'This channel is temporarily unavailable' message!?

This happened to a late friend of mine. He was charged for a PPV film that he never watched, so they refunded it. The second time it happened they refused to credit the amount back so he paid it (against my advice) and cancelled phone, BB & TV.
For the sake of the cost of a PPV film they lost out on these three services for about eight years between when he cancelled and his death.
If they stopped doing this sort of thing maybe the constant price rises could stop; I personally wouldn't entertain the thought of paying for something i'd not purchased.

The pack codes are suppressed for Eden, Gold, Good Food, Alibi & W and any of their timeshifts or HD versions, where available.
Dave, Home, Yesterday, Drama & Really are unchanged.

Maybe they have plans to replace the PPN service with another adult channel, there are quite a few of those around. There's not really anything else available to replace the subscription channel.

So you think VM should automatically credit anyone who phones up and says they didn't watch something? I can see a flaw in your business case...

So you think he should have been allowed to get away with it...twice! Where would you draw the line, Richard, and since when has stealing been ok?

Yeah happened to my Mum twice. She didn't order anything but was billed for 2 movies on consecutive months. First time they refunded her second time they didn't. It's a farce.
