It's not about living longer Hugh, plus I really don't like meat/fish. Pastry though, I'll have that. Along with cheese, chocolate, wine etc.
It's vegans that have really spoiled the vegetarian options at restaurants.
A local pie maker (the Pie Collective, Otley) make a smashing family sized Beef Bourguigon pie (Ox Cheek and Skirt mixed with plenty of Root veg, Mushrooms, Shallots and Red Wine), and individual sized slow cooked brisket & pancetta in a dark Yorkshire ale gravy pies.
They’re my favourites.
Ohhh them pies sound very nice, may have a ride over there next week - weather dependant of course
