Re: Classic cars
Look beautiful, but were deathtraps compared to modern cars - no crumple zones, airbags, tension seatbelts, collapsing steering wheels, anti-lock brakes, traction control, etc.

XJS V12 HE
Lancia Delta HF Intergrale
Alfa Romeo GTV6
Alfa Romeo GTV Cup
Volvo 850R
Clio V6
All of them apart from the Volvo absolute money pits, There's one of the above that if i can find a decent non molested example of I'll be buying straightaway

Re: Classic cars
If you live in London they're exempt from the ULEZ charge which should compensate for the greater fuel consumption.

I used to work with a chap who had an 850R and he reckoned it would eat its way through tyres at an alarming rate. West Yorkshire Police used to drive them at the same time and used to change the tyres while they still had some life left, and he had some dodgy deal going on with someone who used to work there and they put the best ones to one side for him.

Re: Classic cars
Yup, lot of the traffic and also armed response used the 850R and you're absolutely right, it used to go through tyres incredibly quickly Rock solid to dive though & ridiculously fast
