Well, I thoroughly enjoyed the Xmas do. The food wasn't great (it was good though), but the hotel chose a couple of nice wines, and if we wanted other drinks, the hotel bar has a good range. The DJ played a fairly typical selection of music (a few oldies. a few pop songs and a couple of xmas songs) and did a good job of getting the crowd going.
It was nice, however, to spend the night drinking and dancing with some of the ladies in the school office, the younger ones being rather nice.
As for the TV, Dixons said it would be with me between 1 and 5pm. At 20 to one, I got a phone call saying they were half an hour away. Sure enough, at 10 past one, the doorbell rang and there was a deliveryman with my new TV. We bundled up the old one in the van and they left with it..
The TV, at 40 inches, is actually relatively small by todays standards, but while it looked small when I looked at the same model in Johm Lewis, it looks huge at home. It gives an excellent picture on TV, Blu Ray and using it's own streaming media player. It also gives suprisingly good sound for an LED TV, but I'll get a decent sound system for it when I can afford to.

Youngest arrived home from a visit to his sis in Chiswick.
He does not have frostbite, and found her very "snobby". (She was always a complete drama queen).
I'm glad they met up and did share quality time. He seems unscathed

'Twas brilliant! Quite a few of the old Tull favourites; Aqualung, Locomotive Breath, Jack-in-the-Green, Bouree, A Christmas Song, My God.
Plus a few new songs & a Thrash Metal version of Toccata & Fugue, starting off with an intro of the original on the Cathedral organ!

Met up with Dilli and Natalie today in Portsmouth. They are both very lucky to have found each other and are a lovely couple together.
