Virgin mobile and EE

My free Virgin sim from Ultimate oomph is still on EE network. I believe that in next few days all EE customers will be migrated from EE onto another carrier, Vodafone? End of 2021 I read a while back.

Sim still connects to "Virgin" and the APN is virginmobile.uk so nothing outwardly indicating the switch over has happened yet.

Re: Virgin mobile and EE

Even once the switch to the Vodafone signal happens it will still show as Virgin.

The only way to tell unless you are notified is to see which other networks you can see manually on the phone.

If with a Virgin Mobile SIM you can see Vodafone as a network name in addition to Virgin you're using the EE radio network. If you can EE in addition to Virgin you're using the Vodafone radio network.

Is the switch over still planned for before this weekend?

Re: Virgin mobile and EE

Update, I'm still on EE in 2022.

Pleased as it is the better network across west central Scotland compared with Voda or O2
