Hate to disagree with you once again Chris but it would be far funnier, and more damaging for his ego, if they don't come after him. He spends a few months in jail for skipping bail and that's it.

Actually the irony of that is hard to argue with ... 7 years’ house arrest, having only ever been convicted of something carrying a maximum 6 months...

Apparently the crimes he is likely to be charged with, don't have the death penalty.

Re: UPDATED: Julian Assange: Wikileaks Founder Arrested
We don't extradite if the defendant could receive the death penalty anyway

Re: UPDATED: Julian Assange: Wikileaks Founder Arrested
He did and still does I would think. The point about Wikileaks is to question authority and especially govt and military. He thinks his life is at risk, so stayed in there as long as possible.

Remember how difficult it was to send Hook* to the USA, we had to get cast iron guarantees that he wouldn't face execution.

Re: UPDATED: Julian Assange: Wikileaks Founder Arrested
At court today, Julian Assange is told that one charge he faces is that he failed to surrender on 29th June 2012.
He pleads “not guilty”...
Strangely enough, having failed to surrender to the court for over six and a half years, he is found guilty - it’s going to Crown Court for sentencing.

Wikileaks is now very little more than a conduit for Russian Psy-Ops against Europe and the USA - it may have begun with good intentions, now it’s just Putin’s tool.

"Assange is charged with conspiracy to commit computer intrusion and is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison. "

Not quite the death penalty
