So they did indeed show the flm uninterrupted. It was a simulcast of Sky Cinema.

There were ads, but not many and not too often. It is their business model after all

If they were trying to push Sky One as an alternative to the PSB channels they would have been able to get away with 8 minutes per hour, which is what ITV is restricted to.
