I wonder if anyone can answer me a question in regards to temperature readings on SSD and NVME.
I always thought it was read via the SMART part of the drive but the question i have is this...
I have a new Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB drive, Samsung Magician reads it at times as 49*c and Hard Disk Sentinel at 60*c at the same time.
Which one would be the most accurate and how come its so far apart?.
Thanks.
It's possible that for example that Samsung magician gets its temperature information from the hard drive sensors and Sentinel gets its info from the motherboard sensors and infers the temperature from this ? As Downquark says i'd probably believe the Samsung software.
