Yeah they do come in different sizes and different cards within the same range can sometimes come with different sizes.

Very nice machine you'll have there!
That GPU has a length of 280.35 mm, check that'll fit within your case as I believe the 970 was only about 260mm in most cases.

This is what I ended up with, I was right, the only thing I haven't replaced is the PSU and storage. Bought a nice plain full tower, don't need twinkly lights, it's the screen I look at.
Ah well, payday next week....

The K version of Intel CPUs are unlocked and can be overclocked. Especially if you use a simple liquid cooler.

Wow, just looked up my current GPU (GTX 970) on Amazon, and it's more expensive than the RTX 2070 plus that I've just ordered.
