Re: Electronic Cigarettes should i or shouldn't i ?

Been using my e-cig for 2 years now after quitting 15 years of smoking...

I'm fed up of it now though and would like a clean break from nicotine altogether. Just don't know what the next step is. I was thinking of locking the e-cig away for a few hours a day and building it up so I use it less and less. It's never really left my hand for the last 2 years.

Getting weaker liquid won't work cos i'll just never stop vaping it.

Also thought about trying the patches but would rather not go there, they itch like mad.

One day I'll be nicotine free!! Just can't find that willpower to just ditch it atm.

Edit: Only just realised i posted a year ago saying i was planning to stop vaping lol!! In that case, see you in another year

Try to lower the nicotine strength... You can do it, you have already done the hard bit, YOU WILL BE NICOTINE FREE ONE DAY just focus on that and you will get there sooner than you think. Come on you can do it, your strength and willpower will surprise you.

Re: Electronic Cigarettes should i or shouldn't i ?

There is an eliquid supplier that has many strength levels (I'll try and find it) that would allow you to lower in very small increments eventually hitting zero Pia. As it is now I wouldn't be worried about being on ecigs for life I was a hardcore smoker but always disliked the effect my habit had on others so ecigs were perfect for me. My gp surprised me by knowing about it before I did and fully supports my switch to ecigs. Can't help but think the NHS would save some money and be more effective prescribing ecigs then all the other stuff they give out with quite a bad record of success.

Maybe it's time to concentrate more on harm reduction then out and out quit.

Took a bit of looking but cloud9vaping do a range like I described choose eliquid then shop by strength to see hope that's helpful.

Re: Electronic Cigarettes should i or shouldn't i ?

Or buy aquaeous glycerine and use it to dilute the liquid you currently use. I've been mixing my own for a while and have varied the mix to gradually decrease the amount of nicotine in the mix. If you start with a mix of (say) 18mg and add 50% AG then the strength is automatically reduced to 9mg. OK, you lose a bit of flavour too but it's still good. I add my own flavourings so can totally control the mix I use. Hopefully within a few months I'll be vaping 0% nicotine. That's the plan anyway.

Well it is 3 weeks today since I stopped smoking, went out last night for a friends birthday meal and I was outside with the smokers having my e-cig and I didn't feel like I was missing out at all

Unless you genuinely like the taste of tobacco and I never did nor have I found many that did your not missing out at all with ecigs more your gaining then losing and I thought I'd have cravings or at least miss my roll ups but never have. If nothing else being on ecigs means you can take longer to get where you want to be as your not doing the level of damage as with tobacco.

That's brilliant Jules, as that would have been a big test for you. Glad you never felt that you were missing out on cigarettes, that is the benefit of ecigs. May I say a BIG WELL DONE TO YOU 3 weeks is brilliant, Keep it up. Once again well done

And while we are enjoying this festival of ecig success stories, remember that the EU (sponsored by Phillip Morris) wants to ban them...

The last cigarette factory in Britain is to close, with Imperial Tobacco shutting its Nottingham plant, as well as its biggest Gauloises-producing factory in France, at Nantes. The two closures put nearly 1,000 jobs at risk.
Imperial employs 540 people in its factory and distribution centre in Nottingham, where it makes Lambert & Butler, Embassy, Regal, Superkings (known as John Player) and JPS (John Player Special).
The planned closure of Imperial's last factory means there will be no cigarette manufacturing left in Britain. The only other remaining factory in the UK is run by Japan Tobacco International in Northern Ireland.

Just a quick bump to find out how you are all doing, and what type of ecigs, gadgets and favourite juices you all have and recommend?

Thanks for the link Weenie...

I've been vaping for about 2 weeks and really enjoying it. I'm using the Vamo V5 with an iClear 30-S Clearomizer attached. The blueberry, apple and the banana chocolate juices are nice.
