I wonder if someone can answer a question for me as i need help.
I'm a fibromyalgia sufferer + i have no feeling in my hands and feet which was caused by sepsis i was lucky i didn't loose a limb.
My Question is this, when using the mouse for a prolonged time my hand starts to ache like heck. I have the Logitech G502 gaming mouse but then bought the Logitech MX Vertical mouse on a recommendation that it would help with my hands but it doesn't.
I'm wondering if anyone can recommend something or maybe a mouse that would help.
Is it the button presses or scroll wheel causing the problems? They're the source of the problems with my hand. Not sure I see lightly moving a standard type mouse around would major problems. You don't have to hold it in any way, just lightly push it around, with a sort of horizontal waving of the hand.
Another option might to use a tablet computer or smartphone , as mouse and/or keyboard. Eg Link

You can move a "normal" mouse around simply by resting your hand, out flat on top of it. No gripping or holding required. In that sense you're moving your arm/shoulder and not your hand. Similarly with using a tablet computer/smartphone as mouse, little actual hand movement required.
I can get problems(arthritis) with my right hand when using a mouse. I suspect that is a result of over 30 years of using a mouse.

Do the problems arise spontaneously, ie when not using the hand? If so, then nothing is likely to help.
My suggestions were aimed at limiting any movement required, and therefore possibly extending the time before any problems start.
Would voice control be suitable?
The problems do not arise when my hand isn't in use for example if im sitting watching TV it only arises when using it, i have similar issues when im say texting on my phone.
