PAYG account after monthly rolling account.

Hi all

I recently closed mrs daveeb's phone account (27th August) as she has another one elsewhere now. She'd had it over three years and was on a rolling monthly account for the last year. The "final" bill for a pound was on 27th September and I thought that would be the end of the matter. However today I received an e-bill for £0.00 so i'm wondering if VM don't know how to say goodbye.

I looked on the account page which informed me there was a remaining balance of £0.00 and a top up balance of £0.00. So that sounds like the phone is still active with an option to top up by set amounts but no risk of incurring extra charges by ringing non inclusive numbers. The recent e-bill bill to me however suggests it's a use what you want and settle up at the end of the month.

Can anyone confirm which of these it is. She has no desire to use the phone any more but sometimes still takes it out with her to look at pics, listen to music etc and I don't want her to get stung for e.g. apps using data in the background.

Cheers
